"What's Mummy doing?"

A question my husband asked my two year old son a while ago.

His answer. "Probably craft."

But at least my little man appreciates my craft, in fact as I was taking photos of my new album he came up and told me it was pretty and just had to touch the flowers and the little charm on the front.

Leave a Trail - Envelope Mini Album

My new mini album. Been working on this one off and on for a while now but I'm very happy how it turned out. Originally my thought was to make it a Grandparent album but it just evolved into an album for your life's journey. Like most of my albums the end product looks completely different to how I first imagined it. Always for the better though :)

I used DCWV's linen closet papers because I love the vintage feel of them and wanted to use up the last of these papers that I had in my stash. Actually all of this album was made with leftover bits and pieces. I'm trying to use up all my embellishments and papers that I've brought over the last two years before I buy any more. Its my way of decluttering!

The album itself is made from 6 large white envelopes, folded over at the ends to make it a neat 7x7 inches. The fold over pieces made great flip areas for more photo mats and tags.

I hand tore all of the paper edges and distressed them with ink, took a while but the effect was well worth it. Now on my scrapbook want list is a Tim Holtz distresser tool.

The flowers were all handmade, some were paper circles that I hand tore, some were organza ribbon that i burned the edges of and there is even my first ever fabric flower on the front.

It's up on madeit now and you can purchase it here.

Baby Onesie Mini Album for Baby Sam

A Onesie album for a friends little baby, though Baby Sam is getting close to a year old now. I made this album for his mum when he was born, though I'm only now getting organsied enough to put pictures up.

I hope to make a similar album for my new little baby before its arrives towards the end of April.

All pages have been handcut from my own template that I created in Photoshop. I used DCWV's pastel cardstock and Nana's Nursery cardstock as well as some flowers, rhinestones, ribbon and buttons.

I made this cardstock box to store the album in.

Two pockets, one for mum and one for dad to write down their wishes for baby Sam.

A page for important numbers. I also made up a page for appointments, immunisations and baby's first milestones.

There is a page for every month of the first year. They all have room for a photo and space to write down what baby Sam has been up to.

The first hair cut page has an acetate pocket so you can see baby's first lock of hair.

Blank pages for a print of baby Sam's hands and feet.
Both of these open up to reveal extra space for photos.

CREATE LEARN LOVE GROW DREAM Paper Bag Album

Another 6x6 paper bag album with top pockets, like my previous vintage travel album. I love making this style of album as its soooo easy to add flip pages, which gives you much more room for photos without having to have a thicker book.

This album was made with Kaisercrafts Chapter One papers and die cuts and its up in my madeit store here.

Blushed Trinket box

Another beyond the page Christmas present. These are actually pretty quick to do and look amazing. For this one I used Kaisercraft's trinket box and blushed papers, embellished with pearls and a pink butterfly.

Butterfly and Flowers Chest of Drawers

A little Christmas present I made for the daughter of a friend. Her favorite colour is green so I covered the Kaisercraft Chest of drawers with paper from Grace Taylors contemporary range, added Kaisercraft green rhinestone strips to the drawer edges and some Kaisercraft flowers and a butterfly to the top to decorate. Kept it fairly simple as she's only 4 but she loved it.
