Vintage Travel Paper Bag Album

I love the "Up and Away" paper range from Kaisercraft. Very vintage, with lots of foil, varnish and flocking papers. Perfect for an album about your travels.

I used a large 30cmx30cm white paper bag and folded it so that you get six pockets at the top, rather than just three on the side.

There are 12 pages including covers, four flip pages, 16 photo mats, six large tags and 12 small pull out tags for more photo and journalling space, making this quite an interactive journal. Which is of course the best kind.

I love this style of album as I can flip up pages and turn pages to discover even more photos. Its almost like the "Where's Spot" books I used to love as a child.

If you wish to purchase this album its up on madeit now, just click on the link on the right to go directly to my little store.

Thanks for looking

LOVE - Mini Envelope Album

A 4x6" album I've made with envelopes I brought from Vinnies a while ago.
The covers are chipboard to make it sturdier and I've used cardstock to bind the envelopes together.
The album has been decorated with lace and pearls and I've used Kaisercraft paper.
I had some left over paper so there is also a small card as well as a gift tag that goes along with the album.

Lombards Paper bags

Just a few of the colour paper bags from Lombards. Each of these albums is 3 paper bags laid on top of each other, folded in half and then hole punched down the side. Easy to make and so cheap.
There is 12  5x10 inch paper bags per pack for $3.48, thats only $0.87 per album. The paper bags are not acid or lignin free that I know of, so to be safe you must ensure you cover all pages with good quality scrapbook paper.
They have a lot more colours than I have pictured, I think there is a yellow, a silver, a gold, a dark blue, but no black.
If you can't get to a lombards or don't have one close by you can purchase these albums premade at my craftumi store here.

Home Sweet Home

A mini paper bag album that's great for a housewarming gift.
The album measures 5 x 5 1/4 inches, has six pages and three large pockets.
I intend to use this one more as a house-leaving gift. I'll fill it with photos of our home so that when we move next year I'll have something to show my son of the house he lived in for his first two years.

Supplies:
     - 3 blue paper bags from Lombards, cost of the bags if I remember correctly is about $4 for a pack of 12
     - From Chandon Craft, I brought the Kaisercraft Homemade Collection 6x6 inch paper pad, the die cut elements, the printed chipboard, all of the 12x12 papers and the specialiaty papers. I also brought the brown album rings, the white lace pack, flowers in blue, brown and white and pearl brads. All of this cost me about $55 and I was left with enough supplies to make another album and a few cards.
   - From my own leftover supplies I used a piece of blue cardstock to give the front and back covers more stability, some organza ribbon and wool fibres and some shaped paper clips.

Total cost:
     I'd estimate at about $25.

Time:
About 5 hours to complete the album.
