Beaded Hat Pins

I can't bring myself to buy something when I think I can make it myself. So here are my versions of the Prima and Petaloo stick pins. Made with beads that I had stored away so long ago there almost vintage :) along with some recent additions of swarovski beads, butterfly spacer beads, tourmaline gems and more. I made six lots so I could put up two in each of my stores, so you can buy these in my craftumi, madeit and etsy stores.

"Here's another bead Mum!"

There are beads all over my kitchen table and it happens that quite a few get accidently knocked to the floor. Alex's eyesight is much keener than mine and he has been enjoying discovering beads on the floor, its a frequent mini treasure hunt here lately.

So here is what I have been doing with these beads.

Charm dangles!

I brought some of 7gypsies dangles to go on a paper bag album and love them, so of course I wanted to make my own. My first two creations are below and are up on madeit now.

Beaded Sewing Spools

So easy to make and beautiful to look at. I distressed a tim holtz spool die cut, then wrapped around some DMC floss, threaded the needle with the floss, then the beads and stuck it back through the cotton to hold it in place. The first one looked so good I had to make more, than go out and buy more sewing needles to make even more. You can buy them now at my Craftumi store here.

Felt Birds have flown into my Craftumi store

These gorgeous birds are made from a blended wool / viscose felt that I purchased from a fellow Craftumi. You can buy some of this gorgeous felt from BumbleBeeDesigns.

I used the blue birds on a clock I made for my Mum for Yule. The Kaisercraft clock was covered in Grace Taylor baby boy papers and features pictures of my two little boys.
